About Me

Uğurgül Tunç, PhD

I am a historian of art and architecture working at the intersection of social studies of medicine. I combine the methodologies of medical sociology and the history of medicine to investigate the socio-spatial aspects of health, illness, healthcare, and medicine. I currently teach at McGill University's Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture as I pursue my postdoctoral work in the Department of Social Studies of Medicine at McGill University as the P.I. of "Architecture of Neurology: Spatial Agency at the Montreal Neurological Institute" research project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada.

For inquiries on my academic work, research, teaching, and publications please e-mail me at ugurgul.tunc@mcgill.ca
